Maron and Maria were studying in seventh grade in the same school. Maria used to do all the work given to her with great care, making her one of the most liked students in the class. Maron however was quite a naughty guy. Even though he did the work given to him well, he had a habit of spoiling the work of his friends and having fun.
One day at school, each of the students was given a sapling and asked to plant it in the school garden. All the children began planting their plants with immense aid in the soil. Maron and Maria also planted their saplings.
When Maron finished planting his sapling, he looked towards Maria’s plant. Just as Maria looked around, he plucked out the sapling and appeared as if nothing had happened at all.
Maria was disheartened when she turned back to her plant after a few seconds. She knew it was done by Maron himself. Promptly, she went to her master and narrated the incident to him. Along with that, she also told him a solution!
The master came to the spot where everyone was planting their saplings and said, “Students, we need to have a leader for our school garden. Between all of you, Maron planted his sapling faster. Thus, from today, everyone should listen to Maron’s instructions.” He turned to Maron. “If anyone doesn’t water or take care of their plant, tell me. Okay?”
Maron was overwhelmed when the master made him the leader. Immediately, he began monitoring the garden. He put Maria’s plant back into its place and said to her, “Maria, take care of this plant.”
Maria looked at her master and smiled, happy that she was able to change Maron’s intentions towards the class and that he had become a friend.
Moral: Not every mistake needs to be punished. We can change someone’s intent just by using our modest brain.
