This is my first attempt at writing fictional poetry.
A poem about a guy’s emotions before his arranged marriage.
(post-engagement and prior wedding).

In a dance of tender hearts,
so young, so frail.
one loves deeply,
the other’s love still to unveil.

His heart,
a vibrant tapestry,
woven with love and loyalty.

Her heart,
seeking to date and go with the flow,
no bonds to bind, no roots to sow.

He threads her in a golden line,
hoping their futures will entwine.
But her threads, a tangled skein,
not much affection held within.

Those empty texts, a hollow ring,
does her heart ever sing?

On quiet nights, he weighs the cost,
of love that blooms, yet might be lost.

He craves a connection, a hand to hold,
a love story, brave and bold.
But tangled threads, his heart despairs,
a future worth a tear, is where?

He’s scared, his heart in fear,
being in love with her,
waiting for her, holding her dear.

But in the end, he fears,
she’ll leave, and he’ll shed tears.

Days turn to nights, seasons pass by,
but the echoes of her care, seem to die.

He’s caught in a tight circle of emotion,
in this situationship, love lacks devotion.

One day he sees, with teary eyes,
she’s moved on, to his surprise.

His heart breaks, his tears fall.
He loved so deeply, but she was blind,
and now,
he must leave it all behind.

So with quiet steps, he walks away,
knowing it’s not worth making her stay.

He’ll find his peace, with a will severe,
and though she is gone, his path is clear.

Cause,
his love was real, despite his fear.
his love was true, yet she’s not here.

And cause,
even in darkness,
there’s a glimmer of light,
a flicker of hope,
in life’s endless night.

Beautiful melancholic poem…. emotional pain is felt .
I liked the lines …. Empty texts, hollow ring , Does her heart ever sing? Unspoken tears, unheard sighs and heart wrenching pain endured as he is craving for meaningful connections. His love remained as dream.
I enjoyed reading your poem.
